​Born in Russia and currently residing in Washington, DC artist Natasha Mokina is a graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, the oldest and the most respected art school in Russia and maybe the last school still continuing the classical traditions of European art education. Rigorous classical training and modern concepts create the unique aesthetics of Mokina's paintings.

Natasha Mokina is on the faculty of the Corcoran College of Art and Design since 1996, teaching  figure and portrait in painting and drawing techniques.

During her carrier Natasha Mokina had numerous exhibitions nationally and abroad. Her paintings are bought by private collectors and by the Russian Ministry of Culture. Publications about her art include articles in The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, and Home & Design Magazine. Mokina's awards include "Best Young Artist of St. Petersburg" and Third place in The Artist's Magazine competition.

Since 1998 Mokina is the president of Winter Palace Studio currently located at the Canal Square of Georgetown.
